My spiritual background is the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and Mira Alfassa, called the Mother. One of the central aspects of this yoga is the spiritual being.
The soul essence is our individual core, our soul fire. It expresses itself through its instruments (body, vital, mental) in our lives. The knowledge of the soul essence only exists in Integral Yoga. It is both the inner voice and a deep, clear, creative knowledge. It is trust in the rightness of what needs to be done. The qualities of the spiritual being are often hidden; overlaid by the ego, our feelings and our mind.
An essential goal of Integral Yoga is to bring the qualities of the soul more and more to the fore, so that it is our own inner voice that shapes and directs our lives.
Many children are still closely connected to their innermost core, which gives them a very fine and at the same time clear sense of what suits and is good for them. This self-awareness is a treasure that I believe needs to be preserved.
Yoga can support them in this respect.
