Yoga in the rhythm of the seasons. In presence or online.

Why yoga in the rhythm of the seasons? Life here on earth follows certain rhythms. One of these rhythms is the annual change of the seasons. If we become aware of this rhythm, we can be more in tune with nature in and around us. I also recognise phases in my life when I want to resonate more intensely with the cycles of life. Then I reflect on the season I am experiencing and centre myself in it.

Moving in and with the seasons and thus engaging with the changes of renewal, abundance, letting go and rest - that is my aim with this programme. Accordingly, the practice in spring, when life awakens and new things grow, is different from that in summer, when everything unfolds, blossoms and matures. It changes again in autumn, when we literally and figuratively harvest the fruits and tune into the process of letting go. In winter, all energies turn inwards, collect themselves and rest. In order to be able to go outwards again in spring, strengthened and powerful.
Each season has its own special quality, which is deepened by its specific monthly themes. The Hatha yoga practice is tailored to the respective season. Asana, breathing awareness, relaxation, contemplation and visualisation exercises, sound and meditative silence are framed by poems and texts from yoga.

This offer includes one day workshop each in spring, summer, autumn and winter, which can be booked individually.

Yoga with the elements of the earth. In presence or online.

In this series of workshops, the five elements of Taoism are integrated into practising with the seasons. Taoism assumes that the five elements are so-called archetypal basic energies. Each season represents one of these basic energies. Spring is about growth, summer is about blossoming. Late summer is about maturity. Autumn is about retreat and winter is about reflection and rest. The 5 elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) of Taoism are analogous to this. The qualities of these five elements take centre stage in the annual cycle. How can we integrate their energies into our everyday lives? What can we learn from them for our inner development process?
In addition to an introduction to the energetic quality of the elements, each of the five yoga classes includes asanas and movement sequences under yin and yang aspects, breathing and contemplation exercises that invite you to continue practising on your own.
