You are you and what else is inside you? Pre-school and primary school age. In presence.

With this workshop I would like to provide suggestions, ideas, input and a concrete approach on how we can introduce children to their inherent potential in a playful and relaxed way. How can we use yoga to support children's discovery and growth processes so that other aspects of their personality can be integrated into their everyday lives?

To do this, we discover and utilise the fact that humans are made up of around 70% water. Water is ancient, remembers everything, guides, listens and moulds itself in us according to our inner alignment. We use the latter to change the water within us with positive thoughts and feelings during a yoga practice, opening it up to new things, so to speak.

A theoretical introduction enables the participants to familiarise themselves with some aspects of water. A longer 'water practice' - in the dry - sensitises us to this element in our bodies. The experiences of water that are heard and experienced are like a kind of bridge for the subsequent visualisation process. Picture books accompany this path. A children's hathayoga practice opens further doors for exploring positive thoughts, affirmations and vibrations.

A didactic-methodical script summarises the approach so that this discovery work can also be used for other topics.

Empathy and resonance with nature. Preschool and primary school age. In presence.

Children are born with empathy and sensitivity. If children have the inner and outer space to do so, they empathise with their peers and friends, animals and plants, their parents, grandmas and grandpas. They resonate with them. Loving, caring, acting, with joy and as a matter of course. These gifts and abilities do not stop at the natural world around them. Something in them knows that they are connected to the earth through their bodies.

And there are children who care about the planet and life on earth. This is where we can empower children through their inherent empathy. They can be strengthened and empowered in their ability to feel. In this workshop, I would like to teach yoga practices and exercises that enable children to listen to nature, watch it, turn towards it and be with it.

Physical exercises that strengthen their body awareness, senses and perception are a thread of the seminar. For children who are at peace with themselves, it is easier to develop a clear sense of where their empathy and creativity could be helpful. Another thread is the heart chakra. They are connected to the whole world via their heart. The more open their inner heart space is, the more receptive they are to messages from nature around them. With their kind of empathy and resonance, they can be in contact, dialogue and connection with the earth.

The colours of the earth. Activating the chakras in children's yoga with the colours of the earth. Nursery and primary school age. In presence or online.

Red like a cherry, orange like a sunset, yellow like the sun, green like a leaf, blue like the sky, turquoise like the water, purple like a lavender field and white like the light.

Yoga exercises that focus on a particular colour connect the children with the variety and splendour of colours in nature. At the same time, certain colours are also assigned to the seven main chakras or energy centres of the body. Practising with the colours of the earth thus activates and sensitises both the subtle levels of the body and the children's perception of the beauty of nature.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter - fire, water, earth, wind. The seasons and elements in children's yoga. Nursery and primary school age. In presence and online.

The earth that supports and holds us. The fire and warmth of the sun. The wind that blows through our hair and makes the leaves rustle. Waves, rain, ice and snow.

Everything turns green, sprouts and grows in spring. You grow too. Warmth, sun, light, being outside, long days, laughter, pure joy. Hooray, summer is here. Imagine you are a colourful autumn leaf. At some point, the time has come. The leaf detaches itself from the branch and sails to the ground. Every snowflake has its very own shape. It is unique, just like you.

The seasons in the annual cycle, connected with and through the elements. These rhythms show the children how our everyday life is characterised by wind and weather, day and night, summer and winter. Day after day and year after year.

Stories from the animal and plant world. Daycare centre and preschool age. In presence and online.

Lion, frog, cat, snake, eagle, dog. Butterfly, turtle, trees, mountains, lotus flower. Yoga provides us with so many traditional asanas to create teaching units that enable children to connect with aspects of these more-than-human creatures thanks to their ability to identify.

Creativity is always part of children's yoga. In our latitudes, for example, Bhujangasana, the cobra, can sometimes be transformed into an earthworm. Other yoga positions become the tail fins of whales, whose songs frame a yoga session. This and much more is offered in yoga poses relating to flora and fauna.

Our senses. Preschool and primary school age. In presence.

The earth is changing. Our body is formed from the matter of the earth. How does our body change when the earth changes? We can experience this through our senses. Our senses are organs of perception. The more alert and finely developed they are, the more nuanced and extensive is their ability to perceive, with the help of which we orientate ourselves in the world.

This workshop focusses on our own sense of movement, balance, life and touch. We use our inner sense of touch to feel our way towards new physical experiences through asanas and exercises of all kinds. These experiences move us inwardly. They go deeper and deeper, touching our entire being. Transformation occurs, which in turn expresses itself on the outside, in the body. Yoga - applied in a child-orientated way - shows us in a natural way how we can 'walk with the earth'.
